Current Practice

At Arovo,¹ I work across the full span of product design, from graphic surface to physical object. The role spans multiple categories² within the beauty, personal care, and lifestyle space: ceramic vessels, hair care packaging, cosmetic accessories, grooming products, and branded consumer goods reaching retailers across 40+ countries.³

On any given project I might be developing a new ceramic shape in 3D,⁴ producing technical drawings for factory production, presenting visualisations to stakeholders, or art directing the identity of a licensed brand.⁵ Collection concepts begin at the trend research phase and are carried through to final design, a process that requires equal parts aesthetic judgment and production fluency.

The range is the point. Moving between shape design and graphic design, between early concept and factory-ready specification, has built a particular kind of awareness: the ability to hold the whole object in mind, how it looks, how it feels, what it communicates, from the first sketch to the shelf.
